A Stroll through Christmas Villages, Part 1

There's something calm and peaceful, and a bit romantic, about the villages that many of us build at Christmastime. I thought perhaps you would enjoy a stroll through ours.

This one is comprised of pieces from the"Mistletoe Park" series by Lenox.

I'm entranced by the level of detail in each of the buildings. They're all a soft shade of cream, with gold, ruby and emerald accents.

The puppy and the kitten are so cute!

Several of the buildings made a lovely village green in On the Fifth Day of Christmas.

The glow at night is particularly pretty!

I hope you've enjoyed this evening's stroll!

Come with us for a tour through a second Christmas village in part 2.

  3. So charming! My grandad used to put up a whole Christmas village and train with hundreds of pieces on Christmas Eve after we went to bed. It was magical. Your display reminded me of Christmas past. Thanks so much for sharing it on Share Your Style.

    1. Thank you, Liz! We began to build the collection about 15 years ago, one or two pieces at at time. The pieces aren't very large, but they're filled with lots of detail.

    1. Thank you, Debbee, I'm glad you liked it! We actually started it by giving pieces each year to my husband's mother whose birthday was in early December. Then we started getting them and eventually inherited hers. We bought two more buildings this year and I think we've reached the capacity of the chest to display them! lol
