Disclosure Policy

This blog (Dinner at Eight) is a personal blog owned, written and edited by Sandra @ Dinner at Eight (I, my). This blog does not accept any form of advertising, sponsorship, or paid insertions. I write for my own purposes. However, I may be influenced by my background, occupation, interests, political affiliation or experience.

The owner of this blog does not receive compensation in any way from this blog. The owner of this blog is not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owner’s.

If I claim or appear to be an expert on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.

This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Dinner at Eight (we) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the https://cometodinnerat8.blogspot.com website ("Site").

Our Site uses HTTPS security encryption.  This keeps information safe for the website and those who visit it.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users' personal identification information to others without Users’ consent. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners and trusted affiliates for the purposes outlined above.

Electronic newsletters

If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, i.e. by completing the Follow by Email form, they will receive emails that may include Site news, updates, related service information, etc. Each email will provide information on how to opt-out of future mailings.

Third party websites

Users may find content on our Site that links to the sites and services of our partners and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website's own terms and policies; such websites are not governed by this Site’s privacy statement.

The Site currently uses the following third-party service providers:
  •  MailChimp – this service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. We store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications.  Please refer to the service's privacy policy for further information.
  •  Google Analytics – this service tracks Site usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the Site. Google Analytics may capture your IP address, but no other personal information is captured by Google Analytics. Please refer to the service's privacy policy for further information.
Publicly visible information

If you choose to leave a comment on a blog post, the comment is then public and visible to anyone who reads the comment section. Your email address will never be shared or disclosed publicly, but your name and comment will be visible to others (as well as your profile photo, if you're using one).

If you leave a comment, you may also choose to link your website, Facebook, Instagram, or Google Account. Users may see your username, avatar, profile description and website information.

Changes to this privacy policy

Dinner at Eight has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a notification on the main page of our Site. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
