In contrast to our other village, this one has a small town/Americana feel. Each house and building has a distinct style and color palette.
Together, the buildings and houses create a cozy feeling in the snowy town.
Greg hand-painted each building over several years, with Daughter J assisting on a number of houses.
The snow seems to sparkle in the moonlight!
The town sits on a small inlet (perhaps on Lake Erie) and boasts a lighthouse.
Everyone seems to be having a good time!
I hope you've enjoyed our holiday stroll!
Merry Christmas
and
Happy New Year!
I love, love, love the lighthouse, dock and boat. That is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks! My husband loves everything related to being on the water and was delighted to find these.
DeleteOh wow, both of your villages set ups were wonderful. They are just so magical when all the lights are on....
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these wonderful delights.
Blessings for a great 2018,
Nellie
Thanks so much, Nellie! I'm glad you enjoyed them. They really make you feel that you've wandered into another time or place. Happy New Year
DeletePier and lake are cute. Gail
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gail! If it weren't so cold, we could jump in!

Smashing Plates
Thanks, Catherine! We thought the lighthouse and pier gave the village a different kind of character.
DeleteEspecially love the boat scene! I had about 21 pieces of Dept. 56 village but gifted it to my children and grandchildren last year. One of my favorite pieces was my boathouse. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I bet your village was fun to construct each year - 21 pieces could be combined in so many ways! I hope your family enjoys your gift as much as you did.
DeleteLindas imagens. Bom ano Sandra. Abraço.
ReplyDeleteObrigado, Sandra! I'm glad you liked them. (Google translator not working so well tonight.)
