Rain-soaked days are perfect for taking some time for myself and relaxing with a cup — or two! — of tea. Rather than just pour some into a mug and flop on a couch, I like to set a delightful tea on a pretty table. Alone with my thoughts, perhaps some soft music . . .
I
was excited that Katherine invited me to join her as a guest blogger on
the wonderful Katherine's Corner! For the occasion I styled a lovely Tea Garden for Spring
that echoes the emerging garden outside my window. Here's a peek at the
table but I hope you'll visit Katherine's blog to see the full post and
all the details.
I have occasionally posted table settings for enjoying tea on Dinner at Eight, so I thought I'd share several of them again with you. Just click on their titles to view the complete post and discover the styling details that went into them.
The gorgeously patterned tea dishes my daughter had given me became the focus of a Valentine's Day Table Set for Tea.
On a stormy day I laid beautiful dishware that brings the warm days of summer to mind on an antique Irish linen cloth, embroidered and crocheted by hand in the early 1900's, for Tea and Chocolate on a Winter's Day.
In Tea with Birdsong, the whimsical tea set is a dreamy shade of light blue, with charming songbirds among the cherry tree branches.
I hope you've enjoyed this selection of ways to savor tea time. I encourage you to give it a try!
* The details for the items used on each of the tables can be found in its post.
