A Tour of All Hallows' Village

 Ready to board the express train to All Hallows' Village, home to all manner of folk?

You can see it off in the distance there!

Cameras ready as we round the last curve (warning — expect lots of pictures taken!)

There's plenty of things going on in the village as they prepare for the spookiest night of the year

 Lots to see on Main Street

We are now entering Cemetery Circle

Heading up the hill to Ghoul Street

Now we'll leave the town and climb the ridge to the castles

* Update! The evening tour

Addendum:  On Halloween the neighborhood kids and their parents/chaperones will enjoy the village lit up with all parts moving (there are 2-5 per building and in the cemetery vignettes). Mercifully the sounds will be turned off!  The details in these are amazing, endlessly clever and frequently tongue-in-cheek. Hope you have as much fun on Halloween!

  1. I have never seen such a complete Halloween village; I was fascinated. Although I have a Christmas village and some Easter pieces, I have tried to stay away from the Halloween ones as I know I would have an EXTENSIVE collection; we love Halloween! I have an unfinished H dollhouse (party in progress with trick or treaters to come up the walk-way) and this suffices!

    1. I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour! We enjoy decorating for Halloween and are delighted to share the village with all the trick-or-treaters. They look forward to it every year. Your dollhouse sounds spookily fun! We have a Christmas village as well and enjoy that too. I did a couple of posts about that a few years ago.

  2. Sandra, I tried to comment yesterday but kept getting an error message, so I am trying again today. I saw this post on my phone, and knew it would not do the pictures justice. So here I am on my computer and I was right. This is incredible! Greg's vision is amazing. I can't even pick a favorite - its all stunning. I also can't even imagine the work that went into this display but all those trick or treaters in your neighborhood are in for one show-stopping surprise! Thanks so much for sharing and happy Halloween!

    1. Thanks so much, Kim! I've shared your comments with Greg and he's really pleased that you enjoyed his village. The village has grown over the years and it now requires 3 leaves for the table and the buffet, lol. He takes a lot of satisfaction in designing it each year and really likes to see the reactions of the kids. It will be extra fun this year since he didn't do it during the pandemic.

  4. Oh, Sandra!! How cute! I definitely had to share your post tonight at Share Your Style #366. I hope the kids had a fun time seeing your village all lit up and moving!!! We had fun at school setting up a Day of the Dead table for Día de Muertos (yesterday and today) combined with Halloween with scary books and more. It has changed to the next theme but that one was really fun and soooo many books got check out from our library, which was great.

    Hope you are having a great fall and happy decorating for Thanksgiving!

    1. Thanks so much, Barb, for sharing this at the party! It was such fun to put together -- and to watch the delight on the kids' (of all ages) faces.
