Well, I couldn't contain my excitement any longer! After 18 long weeks of renovation chaos, we have a finished kitchen! Well, almost...there's still a relatively small punch list of things for the contractors to do. But it's a working kitchen that I can't wait to share with you!
With everything required to retrieve kitchen and dining items stashed all over the house and decide how to organize them, I haven't had a chance (or the energy, lol) to bring my spring decor out. But I still wanted to style a spring vignette on the island, which is so much more conducive for things like this than our old one was.
So I made do with the simplest of decor items...
...a bunny, a tall cake plate and vibrant yellow tulips!
To add an accent color, the bunny is sporting a bright green ribbon left by the leprechauns.
Although the flowers I've used here are faux, tulip buds in my garden are about to burst open in a rainbow of colors.
I know this vignette does not seem very elaborate or terribly creative, but it's a signal that at last things around here are getting back to normal.
And it makes me smile!
Thanks for your comments about my bee tablescape! We went through a kitchen remodel last year, I know what you mean! I love your vignette! I need to start doing small decorations like that more often.

There's nothing quite like living through a renovation! Thanks for stopping by, Beth. I'm glad you enjoyed my bunny.
DeleteI love the simplicity of this vignette and its something I can recreate, too! I’ve been watching our new little grandson and haven’t had time to do much spring decorating. Thanks for the inspiration! Love your new kitchen, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Zenda! Tulips always kick start my decorations - and everything goes with them. How wonderful to have a new grandson and spend time with him!
DeleteI love it! Bunnies and tulips and a beautiful new kitchen...how exciting! I can't wait to see more of your kitchen! Thanks for sharing at TFT!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amber! It's both exciting and exhausting. Now it's time to wade through all the photos, lol.
DeleteBeautiful vignette with those lovely tulips and the "real" looking Mr. Bunny.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring,

Thank you, Kippi! I'm so glad you stopped by and left your sweet comments.
DeleteSandra, stop with the "not very elaborate or terribly creative"--it's gorgeous! So glad you've survived the ordeal and are enjoying the new space.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jean! I'm so glad that we re-did the kitchen, although living through it was chaotic and frustrating. I hope you return to see all the photos.
DeleteThis is my first time here and I think your vignette is very pretty and just elaborate enough. Sometimes less is more. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Clearissa! Less can definitely have an impact, though the photos aren't always as interesting. At any rate, I'm still enjoying my bunny display!
DeleteOh this vignette is adorable and I'm crazy about your bunny, it's just darling.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your entire kitchen renovation. I remember 8 years ago we remodeled our kitchen antirelly and I still love it and admire it, it's the heart of our home for sure !
Happy kitchen remodel !
Fabby
Thank you, Fabby! I just kept walking around the bunny and finally decided he just had to come home with me! I've started going through all my photos of the remodel -- I can't believe I took so many.
DeleteOh... I just followed your blog too !
