Blues with a Dash of Turquoise

Welcome to the first tablescape of summer! Pastel shades still dominate in early summer gardens, and that's where I found my inspiration.

I've had the table linens for a number of years. Soft blues and greens predominate, with pinks thrown in for good measure.

The design is impressionistic, with strokes of color between the flowers.

I like the way the pleating on the placemats blurs the lines of the flowers even more.

The graphic bands on the china repeat the colors, as do the stems of the glassware and the napkin rings.

At the antique mall a few weeks ago, I spotted these turquoise candle holders. They have a wonderful Art Deco vibe!

The candle holders flank a hand-thrown, hand-carved vase.

I love to use the items I've collected as centerpieces! They are often unique and frequently engender lively conversations.

Mostly blues, with a dash of turquoise. . .

. . .and a bit of pink!

Thanks for visiting!

The centerpiece, candle holders, china and sherbets make it look retro 1930?s. I love it !

    1. Thank you Fabby! Something about the lines of Art Deco design has always appealed to me. Over the years I've broken 2 of the sherbets -- and haven't been able to find replacements. But I'll stay on the hunt.

    1. Katie, I love just about any shade of blue or green. Since I found those in an antique mall, I've seen many in a rainbow of colors on eBay. Never expected this design in Fiesta ware.
