Spiders and Crows Invade Halloween

We hadn't had a special All Hallow's Eve dinner since.....I don't know when! So I thought I'd pull together an elegant tablescape for the holiday.  I set it for four, to allow the table to be lit only by candles.

Black tulle sets the mood on the table. The colors are the defining colors of All Hallow's Eve: orange and black, with silver and white added to enhance the candlelight.

Spiders and crows have joined the celebration!

More sparkle from the centerpiece.  Who doesn't have a Revere-style bowl?

The cordial glasses were withdrawing into the shadows, so I added decorative ornaments to each one. The goblets are a classic design, their black stems continuing the Halloween color scheme.

And every table needs flowers!

The laboratory flasks and potion jars up the shudder quotient.......

While the skull and bat chargers hint at vague menace in the dark.

And the moon rises on a frightful night...........

Happy Halloween!!

(Let me know if you think the photos in candlelight were a success)
