Christmas Eve Dinner

I'm so glad you could join us! We have hosted dinner on Christmas Eve ever since we were married, a tradition carried over from my parents. The table is at its most formal, for after all the occasion calls for a celebration!

A Partridge in a Pear Tree

I only do one holiday at a time, so I had to scramble to put together a table for a late night dessert this week. Most of our Christmas decorations are still stored away, but luckily I could easily get to Christmas china and linens.

Thanksgiving 2016

Due to conflicting schedules and obligations, we had a small Thanksgiving dinner for four. Nonetheless the holiday is a celebration and the tablescape reflects its importance. Modern elements play counterpoint to elegant vintage ware.

Woodland in Georgia

I was unable to prepare a table last week as I had planned to do. Which turned out to be serendipitous since I found these wonderful Spode Woodland plates at the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market today! I couldn't wait to get home and create a tablescape using them.

Fall has truly come to North Georgia at last. Flaming reds and vibrant golds deck the trees against brilliant blue skies. In celebration, I decided to do another autumn table that could easily become this year's Thanksgiving table.
