Hello, Friends! We're half way through November and fall is well underway. Here in North Georgia some trees are still holding onto green leaves, while others are blazing gold or red, or are covered by a fabulous mix of colors.
I've shared with you our seasonal Thanksgiving table where we will gather with family. I'd like to now share a fall table where we'll have breakfasts, lunches and dinners until then, and afterwards as well until I begin to bring out Christmas decorations and dinnerware.
It seemed appropriate to style the table using quintessential autumn elements — leaves and pumpkins. For the base I'm using a new table runner, placemats and napkins. I've bought very little in the way of tableware or linens in the past two years, and it was fun to see what new patterns were available. I love the sprays of leaves in shades of green, with some gold and some bronze tones.
I kept the centerpiece simple — an abundance of mini faux pumpkins nestled among leaves on a rattan charger serving as a tray.
For glassware I chose vintage wine glasses with laurel leaves etched below the rim, and amber tumblers with vining leaves and flowers. I think they pair well together. You may remember the amber tumblers from Setting the Table for a November Birthday among other tablescapes. They're versatile glasses, appearing often in all seasons.
Silver-toned napkin rings repeat the motif.
The pumpkins are a nod to fall's harvests and exuberant colors.
Most of the table is clear, ready for serving pieces and pitchers for casual meals.
Green figural plates in two designs, one of leaves, one of dragonflies, are beneath salad plates depicting a combination of watercolor paintings and line drawings of fall leaves. I haven't used these lately and decided it was about time to get them out! You can see them in another setting here.
Leaves falling outside allows this room to get more direct sunlight (and me to get better photos!); I love the play of sunshine on the table.
The table is full of texture — in the weave of the linens and the charger, the raised patterns of the stoneware, the etched designs of the glassware, the beaded edge of the flatware, the smooth surface of the salad plates.
This may be the last table of the season, but it could have easily been the first!
Thanks for visiting! Is your table still reflecting fall colors and themes?
