Ideas for Late Summer Tables

Sometimes when I'm searching for inspiration for a tablescape, I revisit some of the tables I've posted before to discover a theme or color combination I particularly liked.  Today I'm sharing several tables that I thought you might enjoy seeing and could give you some ideas for a late summer table. Just click on each title to view the complete post!

A Table for Sunflowers celebrates the quintessential flowers that blanket fields not far from me.

Although citrus fruits are available all year, their tartness is particularly welcome in summer and when used in A Summer Table with a Citrus Centerpiece.

The combination of high temps and high humidity levels means that August is steamy, a perfect backdrop for On the Table: Tropical Birds!

And if you're in need of a respite from the heat, cool down with A Pastel Table with Turquoise Accents.

I'm hoping that we can begin to travel farther afield soon. But in the meantime I'm Dreaming of Paris!

A little closer to home, Under the Sea brings back memories of the wonderful time we spent at the beach.

In most years my August garden is filled with color, inspiring Fresh Flowers on a Summer Table.

For a fun challenge, try reinventing tables you've seen and admired. I tried my hand with Re-creating the Table at Kilkenny Castle!

One of my favorite sources for inspiration is lovely table linens. or in the case of Summer Bounty they're exuberant tea towels!

When I think of late summer tables I often picture dinners al fresco or casual picnics in the park. But it's too darn hot! So my next table will definitely be indoors!

  3. Hi Sandra,

I really enjoyed your ideas for late summer tables! You've done some lovely and creative tablescapes over the years! I especially like the re-creation of the Kilkenny Castle table; your floral china and crystal are beautiful. Playing with dishes is fun, isn't it? You have some lovely pieces and accessories. :) Thanks so much for your visit, and I hope you have a great weekend!
