All the Shades of Red — Vintage Glassware

Welcome to another showcase of beautiful vintage glassware! This is the second edition of my visit to the 44th show sponsored by the Peach State Depression Glass Club. Today I want to share all the shades of red found in vintage glassware, from the deepest to the lightest!

These were stunning examples of fine stemware (with prices to match). The first goblet is embellished with an overlay of metal. We have purple cordial glasses clad in chrome which I used on this tablescape which give a similar effect.

I lingered over these — I loved their lines, their bases, their color.  If the price had been for all five instead of each, they probably would have come home with me!

Here red decorates the clear dishes.

Artful whimsy.

These were fun! I imagined them on a summer porch.

Dark pink sets were well-represented at the show.

I'm not sure what this is, but I could see it in a ritzy boudoir.

I love the interplay of colors on the pitcher and glasses.

Somehow I seemed to find lots of sets perfect for a lazy afternoon in the shade!

In the palest of pinks, these would add glamour to a table or sideboard.

I fell hard for the compote, underplate and matching candleholder. Unfortunately I had already spent my glassware budget, sigh...

I loved the galloping ombre horse!

Visit The Blues of Vintage Glassware for more examples of beautiful glass from this year's show. The previous show can be found at the 2019 collectible glass show.

    1. Isn't it pretty?! It must have been amazingly well-loved to have survived unscathed 114 years.

  5. What some beautiful glass ware! I have a few pieces of the ruby red dishes - glasses and bowls. I have a cake stand like the clear glass with the red rims! I get so excited when I see pretty dishes. I'm popping over from Susan's.

    1. I don't know if it's just that it had been two years since the last show, but I thought it was just full of the most beautiful glassware -- and most of it in colors! I'm so glad you stopped by.

    1. You're welcome, Jenna! Of course I was attracted to the more expensive pieces, but there really were lots priced in the low to mid-range. Most vendors were up for negotiating, especially the last day of the show.

    1. Oh it was, Debra!! I love finding out about the vintage pieces I buy and was so happy to have stumbled across the glass show. I'm not sure how that gold mirror would have been used, but I imagined a fluffy powder puff in the bowl and small bouquets to either side. It definitely has a French air!

  11. I don't know, Sandra... I think I'd do what that fellow Hubbard said: "If thou of fortune be bereft, And in thy store there be but left Two loaves, sell one and with the dole Buy hyacinths to feed the soul." ;) Some really pretty glassware! I'm glad you linked up as I was able to feature it this evening at Share Your Style #333 for you. <3

    Happy evening to you,
    Barb :)
